The Caution Deposit: Why Rs 1 Lakh and How to Pay

One of the unique features of Karnataka NEET counselling is the refundable caution deposit for Round 2 registration to avoid seat blocking. The fee is Rs 1,00,000 (Rs 50,000 for SC/ST/OBC) to be paid online through the KEA portal on or before 1:00 PM on August 25, 2025. This deposit will be refunded after admission/if a seat is not assigned, and will be forfeited when you do not join.

Payment Process and Exemptions:

• Sign in to the portal with your username.
• Choose your method of payment (net banking, card or UPI).
• Candidates who donated in Round 1 may not owe another donation; check on the site.
