The Joint Admission Counselling, Chandigarh 2025 – popularly known as JAC Chandigarh Counselling 2025 – is a centralized admission process for B.E., B.Tech., and B.Arch. courses in the premier technical institutions of Chandigarh. Managed by the Joint Admission Committee, Chandigarh, the process ensures a unified platform for admission to engineering and architecture programs based on JEE Main 2025 ranks. The official notification and JAC Chandigarh counselling 2025 schedule have been released for the academic year 2025-26, with online registration commencing from April 29, 2025.

JAC Chandigarh Eligibility Criteria

The JAC Chandigarh eligibility criteria for 2025 are based on academic qualifications and JEE Main 2025 participation:

1. Entrance Examination

Candidates must have appeared in JEE (Main) 2025, conducted by the NTA.

2. Year of Passing

Candidates are eligible if they have passed Class 12 (or equivalent) in 2023, 2024, or are appearing in 2025. Those passing before 2023 or after 2025 are not eligible.

3. Academic Requirements

For B.E./Integrated B.E.-MBA:

•    Passed 10+2 with five subjects including Language, Physics, Mathematics, one of Chemistry/Biology/Biotech/Vocational Subject, and one additional subject.

•    Or passed 10+3 Diploma with Mathematics.

For B.Arch:

•    10+2 with Physics, Mathematics, and one of Chemistry/Biology/CS/IT/Engineering Graphics/Business Studies, with minimum 45%.

•    Or 10+3 Diploma with Mathematics and 45%.

Category and State Quota Clarification

•    Panjab University (PU) institutes do not offer OBC reservation.

•    OBC candidates may apply under the BC category but must meet PU’s BC norms with valid Non-Creamy Layer certificates.

•    Chandigarh Quota is applicable only for CCET and CCA, and only for students who passed Class 12 from institutions located in Chandigarh.

•    Other institutions fall under the Outside Chandigarh Quota.

JAC Chandigarh Counselling Procedure

The JAC Chandigarh counselling 2025 will be conducted in five rounds:

•    3 Regular Rounds

•    1 Special Round

•    1 Spot Round

Highlights:

•    Category document upload is mandatory during registration.

•    Special and Spot Rounds are open to all previously registered candidates.

•    Spot Round fee: ₹40,000 (refundable if no seat allotted).

Document Verification & Physical Reporting

Online Upload: Reserved category candidates must upload documents at registration or will be treated as General.

After Allotment:

Physical reporting is required after Round 3, Special, or Spot Round as applicable.

•    JEE Main 2025 Scorecard

•    Class 10 and 12 Mark Sheets

•    Character & Migration Certificate

•    Gap Affidavit (if any)

•    Reserved Category Certificates (as applicable)

•    Seat acceptance fee proof

•    Scrutiny form

•    Photographs

Filling Choices in JAC Chandigarh Counselling 2025

•    Fill institute + branch preferences online

•    Include both Engineering and Architecture choices (if eligible)

•    Mock seat allotments help candidates reorder choices

•    Choices can be modified until final locking

•    If no choices are filled, the candidate is skipped in that round but can still participate in the Spot Round after paying ₹40,000

Seat Acceptance Process

•    Seat acceptance fee: ₹40,000 after each round

•    Submit online willingness for further upgrade

•    Physical reporting only after Round 3 or later rounds

•    If fee not paid, seat will be forfeited

Withdrawal and Refund Policy

•    Withdrawal allowed before Spot Round

•    Seat Acceptance Fee refund process to be announced

•    Registration fee is non-refundable
