National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT)
Established in 1986, NIFT is India's pioneering institute in fashion education, shaping the future of the textile and apparel industry by offering high-quality professional training and resources. NIFT was made a statutory institute in 2006 by an Act of the Indian Parliament, with the President of India as its Visitor.
With 19 campuses across the country, NIFT is at the forefront of promoting design innovation and providing professional human resources to the fashion and textile sectors. NIFT Admission 2026 Overview
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the entrance examinations for NIFT admissions in 2026 for various undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), lateral entry (NLEA), and Ph.D. programs. NIFT Admissions 2026
- General Ability Test (GAT): Conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.
- Creative Ability Test (CAT): Conducted in Pen & Paper Based Test (PBT) mode.
- The GAT (General Ability Test) will be bilingual (Hindi and English). Candidates can choose their preferred medium while filling out the application form.
- In case of any discrepancies between Hindi and English versions due to translation, the English version will be treated as final.
