The All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) 2026 is the national-level entrance examination conducted by National Law University Delhi (NLUD) for admission to the B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) Undergraduate Programme for the Academic Year 2026–27.

Eligibility Criteria for AILET UG 2026

Candidates applying for AILET UG must satisfy the following conditions:

  • Passed Senior Secondary Examination (10+2) or equivalent from a recognized board
  • Minimum marks required:
    • General Category: 45%
    • OBC Category: 42%
    • SC/ST Category: 40%
  • Candidates appearing in the Class 12 examination in 2025 are eligible to apply provisionally

Seat Intake for AILET UG 2026

  • 110 seats through AILET merit
  • 5 seats for Foreign Nationals
  • 5 seats for OCI / PIO candidates

Total intake: 120 seats

Important Special Category Rule

  • Foreign Nationals and OCI/PIO candidates are exempted from appearing in AILET
  • They must have secured minimum 65% marks in the qualifying examination for direct admission on merit basis

AILET UG is conducted across multiple cities in India to ensure nationwide accessibility. Official test cities include:

Important exam centre rule: If fewer than 100 candidates select a city, the centre will not be created. Candidates will be allotted their second or third preference city.

AILET UG 2026 Application Fee

  • General Category: ₹3,000
  • SC/ST/PwD Category: ₹1,000

Fee Exemption: SC/ST and Women candidates belonging to Below Poverty Line (BPL) category are exempted from paying the application fee.
