ISI ADMISSION TEST – 2026
For Academic Year 2026–27
The Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) was founded in 1931 by Professor Prasanta Chandra Mahalanobis. In 1959, the Parliament of India enacted the Indian Statistical Institute Act declaring it an Institution of National Importance and empowering it to grant degrees and diplomas in Statistics. The Act was amended in 1995 to extend this power to Mathematics, Quantitative Economics, Computer Science and other subjects related to Statistics.
The headquarters of ISI is located in Kolkata. The Institute has centres at Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai and Tezpur. It also has a branch at Giridih and units at Hyderabad, Mumbai and Pune.
The ISI Admission Test – 2026 is conducted for admission to various Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Diploma and Junior Research Fellowship programmes offered by ISI for the Academic Year 2026–27.
