MBBS Admission Process in Kerala
1. Online Registration – Candidates must register on the official website of CEE Kerala (www.cee.kerala.gov.in).
2. Submission of Application Form – Fill out the online application, upload the required documents, and pay the registration fee.
3. Option Entry – Candidates must select their preferred colleges and courses.
4. Seat Allotment – Based on NEET rank, category, and available seats, candidates are allotted seats.
5. Reporting & Admission – Candidates must report to the allotted college and complete admission formalities.
Eligibility Criteria for MBBS in Kerala
To secure admission to MBBS in Kerala, candidates must meet the following eligibility requirements:
• Must have passed the Higher Secondary Examination (HSE) of Kerala or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as separate subjects.
• Must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology combined (40% for SC/ST candidates and 45% for PwD candidates).
• Must have qualified NEET-UG and secured the required percentile as prescribed by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
Domicile Criteria:
Candidates are classified into three categories:
1. Keralite – Candidates born in Kerala or those with either parent born in Kerala.
2. Non-Keralite Category I (NK I) – Candidates who are not of Kerala origin but have studied in Kerala for at least five years within the last twelve years or are children of non-Keralite parents serving the Government of Kerala.
3. Non-Keralite Category II (NK II) – Candidates who do not belong to the above categories but are Indian citizens. NK II candidates are only eligible for management quota seats.
