Odisha NEET UG Counselling 2025

Odisha NEET UG Counselling 2025 – MBBS/BDS Admission Process, Dates, Eligibility & Seat Matrix

The Odisha NEET UG Counselling 2025 will be conducted by the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) Board for admission to MBBS and BDS courses under the 85% state quota in government and private medical and dental colleges across the state. Only candidates who qualify NEET UG 2025 and meet the eligibility criteria—including Odisha domicile and minimum academic qualifications—will be allowed to participate. The counselling process is expected to begin in the last week of August 2025 and will include multiple rounds: Round 1, Round 2, Mop-up Round, and Stray Vacancy Round, depending on seat availability.

Eligible candidates will need to register online through the official OJEE portal, fill their college and course preferences, and submit the required documents for verification at designated help centres. Seat allotment will be based on NEET 2025 scores, reservation norms, and choice preferences. After allotment, candidates must report to the allotted college within the specified timeline and complete admission formalities, including fee payment. The counselling is open to General, SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and PwD category students, with applicable relaxations. Candidates from outside Odisha are generally not eligible unless covered under specific government service categories. The entire process is conducted online except for document verification and physical reporting, and candidates are advised to keep a close watch on the OJEE website for updates and schedules.

Eligibility Criteria for Odisha NEET UG Counselling 2025

To participate in Odisha NEET UG Counselling 2025, candidates must meet certain eligibility requirements set by the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) Board. These criteria ensure that only qualified and eligible students are granted admission to MBBS and BDS courses under the state quota in Odisha.

Qualifying NEET UG

All aspirants must have appeared in the NEET UG 2025 examination and must have qualified as per the cut-off set by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Without a valid NEET UG 2025 score, no candidate will be considered for admission.

Minimum Age Requirement

Applicants must have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st December 2025. There is no upper age limit as per the latest NEET eligibility policy, but candidates must meet the minimum age requirement to be eligible for medical and dental courses.

Academic Qualification

Candidates must have passed their 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board with the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English.
They must have secured a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) for General category candidates. For candidates belonging to SC/ST categories, the minimum required aggregate is 40%, while for PwD candidates, it is 45%.

Additional Eligibility (Reserved Categories)

Applicants claiming reservation under SC, ST, SEBC, or PwD categories must produce valid supporting certificates. The benefits of reservation will be applicable only for permanent residents of Odisha, and such candidates must meet the minimum eligibility criteria prescribed for their category.

Non-Domicile Candidates

Non-domicile students are not eligible for state quota seats. However, they may be eligible for 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats conducted by MCC or NRI quota seats in private institutions, if available.
