Eligibility & Admission Process for Universal Medical College

For the 2025–26 MBBS session, all foreign student admissions—including Indian applicants—are happening entirely via DGME’s official online system. No private medical college, including UMC, can admit foreign students directly. The DGME portal solely manages applications, GPA verification, document evaluation, and seat allocation, ensuring a transparent and merit-based selection process.
📚 Eligibility Requirements for Indian & Other Foreign Applicants
To apply for MBBS at Universal Medical College, foreign students must fulfil the following academic criteria under DGME regulations:
- As per DGME regulations applicable for the 2025–2026 academic session, Indian applicants must have passed Class 10 not earlier than 2022 and Class 12 in either 2024 or 2025, with the Class 12 examination completed within three years of Class 10.
- A minimum combined GPA of 7.0 (Class 10 and Class 12 together) is mandatory.
- Applicants must secure a minimum GPA of 3.5 in Biology in Class 12.
- No individual exam GPA below 3.5 is permissible.
- GPA calculation is conducted using the best five subjects in Class 10 and Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in Class 12, as per DGME norms.
