CAT 2025: Registration to Commence from August 1 at IIM Kozhikode; Exam on November 30

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kozhikode has published the registration link for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2025. The registration process will start on August 1 and the test will take place on Sunday, November 30, 2025. The official announcement has been published in major dailies across the country and the detailed announcement will follow soon on the official website - iimcat.ac.in.

CAT 2025 Registration Fees

The CAT 2025 exam fee has been set at ₹1300 for candidates who belong to SC, ST, and PwD categories while the fee for other candidates will be ₹2600 as per the details released. The application fee for the CAT exam also includes costs for applying to all IIMs and other participating B-schools that accept CAT scores.

CAT 2025 Registration Last Date and Key Dates

The CAT 2025 application will be open from August 1 from 10:00 AM and will close on September 13 at 5 PM. It is very important to make sure that applicants complete the entire registration process including fee payment prior to the CAT 2025 exam last date to avoid any last minute aggravation. The admit cards will be released on November 5, before the CAT 2025 exam date of November 30.

CAT 2025 Examination Format and Test Centres

The exam will be held in a computer-based testing (CBT) format in approximately 170 cities in India. While completing the application form, candidates can select up to five test cities.

Documents Required for CAT 2025 Application

The applicants must upload the scanned copies of:

• Mark sheets for Class 10 and Class 12

•  Graduation certificates or the latest semester results (if the student is in the final year)

• Experience certificate (if applicable)

• Valid photo ID proof

• Category certificate (for SC/ST/PwD candidates)

• Passport-size photograph and signature (Recent)

CAT 2025: Selection/Admission Process

The CAT 2025 is the national-level entrance test for admission to postgraduate and doctoral programs of the IIMs and other top-tier B-schools in India. However, the CAT score is just one part of the overall selection process. After this step, shortlisted candidates will undergo subsequent stages such as Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD), or Personal Interview (PI), etc., as per the individual IIMs requirements.

Last Year Highlights

In the CAT 2024, conducted by IIM Calcutta, 14 candidates scored 100 percentile, including only one female and one non-engineer candidate.
