NEET MBBS Counselling 2025 Round 1 Seat Allotment Result (Out)

Breaking Down MBBS Counselling 2025: What Every NEET Aspirant Needs to Know”

If you've cleared NEET UG 2025, congratulations—you're ready to take the next step toward your medical career! But getting a seat in MBBS or BDS isn't automatic. Here's your practical, step-by-step guide to navigating the MBBS counselling process seamlessly:

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is the responsible authority for conducting the MBBS counselling 2025. As per the latest update, the authority has extended the reporting date of round 1 NEET MBBS counselling. Candidates granted seats in round 1 of NEET MBBS counselling 2025 can report to the institutes till August 22, 2025. The Round 1 seat allotment result was declared on August 13, 2025.

1. Understanding the Counselling Structure

Multiple Rounds, One Goal: MBBS counselling typically occurs in multiple rounds—starting with the main rounds, followed by mop-up or stray vacancy rounds. This layered approach ensures that even unfilled seats find applicants.

Types of Counselling:

All India Quota (AIQ): Managed centrally by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), this covers seats in central institutions, AIIMS, JIPMER, and deemed universities.

State Quota: Each state conducts its own counselling, allocating 85% of seats in state and private colleges to local students through a separate registration portal.

2. Counselling Timeline & Rounds

Round 1: Register, pay the counselling fee, lock your college preferences, and download your seat allotment.

Round 2 & Beyond: If Round 1 doesn't go your way—or you aim for a better college—you can re-register or participate in subsequent rounds (often with fresh choice filling).

Mop-Up & Stray Vacancy Rounds: These final rounds capture unfilled seats and are ideal for aspirants still seeking admission.

3. Key Documents to Keep Ready

NEET Admit Card and Result/Scorecard

Class 10 and 12 Marksheets

Government-issued ID (Aadhaar, Passport, etc.)

Passport-size Photographs

Additional documents (if applicable):

Category Certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS)

Domicile Certificate

Disability Certificate

Transfer & Migration Certificates

4. Tips to Avoid Missed Opportunities

Lock Your Choices: Once you’ve finalized your preferences, locking them is crucial.

Understand the Seat Status: Accept, upgrade, or exit with a refund—know what you're signing up for at each stage.

Stay Updated: Keep checking MCC and your state's official portal for updates and deadlines.

Make Your Moves Early: Trends show Karnataka saw a sharp rise in cutoff ranks in the first round; this means acting swiftly can help secure better seats early.
