NEET UG 2025 Rajasthan Round 1 Counselling: Provisional MBBS and BDS Allotment List Released

The round 1 counselling result for NEET UG 2025 for Rajasthan has been released by the Chairman of Medical & Dental Admission/counselling Board - SMS Medical College (Jaipur). The provisional seat allotment list was released on the 18th of August 2025, marking the beginning of the admission process of MBBS and BDS seats in the state for this year.

High-ranked candidates, as could be anticipated, opted for the state’s acme medical institutions. According to experts, as far as government colleges are concerned, SMS Medical College, Jaipur will remain first choice for students as the top rank holders of the state merit list took seats in this college.

Top Performers Lead the Way

With no surprise, the state's top medical colleges were the preference for top ranked students. Jaipur’s Sawai Man Singh (SMS) Medical College remains the desire of many meritorious students, having grabbed top state rankings.

  1.  Mehul Bansal (NEET Percentile: 99.986964, State Merit Rank: 2) has been allotted MBBS at SMS Jaipur.
  2.  Rachit Achra (Percentile: 99.986964, Rank 3) also joins SMS Jaipur.
  3.  Dishita (Percentile: 99.983932, Rank 4) has taken admission at SMS Jaipur under the General (Female) quota.

And it’s the same story for the top 20 too, with most of them choosing SMS Jaipur for popular courses, taking the name of the institute beyond the borders of Jaipur.

Representation Across Categories

The allotment list reflects diversity in all reservation categories and bodes well for medics from varied socio-economic backgrounds getting into Rajasthan’s premier government medical colleges.

  • General (GEN/UR) category - The very top ranks were mainly grabbed by the General (GEN) / Unreserved (UR) category students, who have been allotted seats in Jaipur and Jodhpur.

  • OBC and EWS category - The list also included OBC and EWS candidates with percentiles as good as theirs who got into SMS Jaipur, SN Medical College (Jodhpur) and SP Medical College (Bikaner).

  • SC, ST, and MBC categories - Numerous students from SC, ST and MBC communities got MBBS seats in Jaipur and other major cities on merit.

That balance suggests how the counseling process still strives to maintain merit and inclusion.

Colleges Benefitting from Round 1 Allotments

The seat matrix for Round 1 includes the following medical colleges and the seat distributions of them:

SMS Medical College, Jaipur (SMS MC)

SN Medical College, Jodhpur (SN MC)

SP Medical College, Bikaner (SP MC)

RUHS College of Medical Sciences, Jaipur (RUHS CMS)

RNT Medical College, Udaipur (RNT MC)

JLN Medical College, Ajmer (JLN MC)

Government Medical College, Kota (GMC Kota)

SN Medical College in Jodhpur and RNT and AIDMC in Udaipur bagged students even when the state merit ranks sailed past 500. SMS Jaipur had the maximum chunk of top students to open their account but institutions in location such as Bikaner, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Ajmer and Kota too found students as the state merit ranks moved beyond 100.

Key Trends from Round 1
Scrutiny of the allotment list suggests a couple of interesting trends:

  • Jaipur takes the first position – SMS Medical College is the ruler of all; particularly for top 50 state ranks.

  • High cut-offs in all colleges – Students with above 99.8 percentile have been able to get themselves MBBS seats in the top five government colleges in Rajasthan.

  • Significant women representation – Many women face cut-off in top 50 slots on their own under the sovereignty of both the lady & EWS lady.

More widespread distribution up to Rank 100 – Till the 100th rank, these were the city colleges like Bikaner, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Ajmer, and Kota, who put up a strong show in the allotments.

What Happens Next?

It’s just the beginning of Round 1 candidates who get a seat allotment in this round should report to the college between the specified dates for the confirmation of the admission. Such candidates who intend to upgrade and those who could not get a seat in Round 1 will be able to take part in Round 2 counselling. Through which vacancy arising out of incomplete document verification and other reasons have been added for online seat allocation (conversion of choices and rescheduling) for the seats/course opted during Round 1 of online seat allocation.

Every round onwards, more students of ranks/categories will be eligible for admission in government MBBS and BDS colleges in Rajasthan.
