The Punjab NEET UG Counselling 2025 process is the admission process for state undergraduate MBBS and BDS courses in government and private colleges of Punjab. The counselling process will be based on NEET UG 2025 scores and will be administered by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), Faridkot. All counselling processes including registration, choice filling, and seat allotment will be conducted online on BFUHS's official portal.

Punjab's NEET counselling will have three types of quotas 85% State Quota, Management Quota and NRI Quota. The State Quota is for candidates domiciled in Punjab, Management Quota is open to students from across India, while NRI seats are open to foreign nationals or sponsorship by NRI status students with additional fee requirements.

Punjab NEET UG Counselling Registrations - Live 

BFUHS has released the timetable for the counseling process for Punjab NEET UG 2025. The registration for Punjab NEET UG counseling is starting from 15 July 2025 and the last date for registration will be 24 July 2025. After the registration, the Round 1 choice filling will start from 29 July 2025 and the last date for filling choices will be 1 August 2025.

The dates for Punjab NEET counselling 2025 have been announced, and the final date to apply for Punjab NEET counselling 2025 is July 24, 2025.

For NRI Candidates

NRI candidates seeking admission to government or private colleges in Punjab must complete the registration form for Punjab NEET counselling 2025 by July 24, 2025, no later than 3 PM.

Round 1 – Online Counselling Schedule

Once the registration for Punjab NEET UG counselling 2025 concludes, students must participate in the first round of counselling. In this round, you will have the opportunity to secure a government or private college in Punjab.

NEET UG 2025 Exam Passing:

To participate in the Punjab NEET UG Counselling 2025, the Candidate must have appeared for and passed (scored mark above the qualifying cutoff) the NEET UG 2025 examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Only candidates that are NEET qualified will be considered for MBBS/BDS seat allotment in Punjab.

Punjab Domicile Certificate:

Candidates applying under the state quota must possess a valid Punjab domicile/residence certificate issued by the competent government authority, which is a mandatory condition for the students who wish to pursue admission through Punjab MBBS counselling of 2025.

Online Registration: 

All candidates who are eligible must complete the online registration form on the official portal of Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), Faridkot when scheduled. The registration process is the first thing to do in order to participate in Punjab NEET counselling.

Age Criteria:

Applicants must be 17 years of age on or before December 31, 2025 to be eligible for suitable admission in MBBS/BDS courses under Punjab NEET UG counselling 2025.

Educational Qualification: 

Candidates must have passed 10+2 (equivalent to Class 12) examination along with the following subjects from a recognized board

  o Physics

o Chemistry

o Biology/Biotechnology

o English

Candidates must have passed each subject individually.

A minimum qualifying percentage of marks:

o For the General category candidates, they must obtain a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology taken together.

o For the SC/ST/OBC Category candidates, they need to obtain a minimum of 45% marks in PCB subjects.

The qualifying marks are a requirement for eligibility in Punjab MBBS counselling 2025.

Other Eligibility Conditions:

Candidates must satisfy any other conditions imposed by BFUHS and DGHS/MCC depending on respective quotas/categories and eligibility as per document verification during Punjab NEET UG counselling.

The Punjab NEET UG counselling will allow for admission into MBBS and BDS programs, at government and private institutions, under the state quota, with the following reservation policy established by the Government of Punjab. Approval for reservation will only apply to the candidates with a valid Punjab domicile certificate. The table below is the category-wise seat reservation details:

Other notes: 

• For admission under the Sports Category, it will be on (inter-se) merit and (A/B/C) gradations, as established in the Sports Policy, notified by the Department of Sports & Youth Services, Government of Punjab.

• The reservations are only applicable to government institutes under the Punjab state quota.

• All reservations are subject to valid supporting documents for verification at the time of counselling.

•    In Step-II, choose between MBBS or BDS, your preferred category, and quota type.

•    Use the "Select Choice" option to prioritize colleges as per your preference.

•    After entering all choices, click "Save Choices" and review the summary for accuracy.

4. Final Submission

•    Visit your dashboard to ensure:

o    Step-I: Completed

o    Step-II: Choices filled

o    Step-III: Finalized

•    Once verified, you may safely log out.

Step 1: Registration

•    Fill the form online on the BFUHS portal.

•    Upload required documents like a passport-size photo and signature (in specific format).

•    Submit the fee via online payment.

 Step 2: Document Verification

•    Applicable for reserved/micro-reserved category candidates.

•    Attend verification at the designated venue with original documents.

 Step 3: Merit List & Online Counselling

•    BFUHS releases a provisional merit list based on NEET UG 2025 scores.
